Alexis
Cole is a creative upcoming vocalist on the New York scene.
She's Vice President of the NYC Chapter of the Jazz Vocal
Coalition, and has played many clubs, concerts and other
venues in the city.
She has toured in the US, Caribbean, Europe and Asia,
and has recorded two full length CD’s as a leader.
Before coming to NY in 2001, she participated in the Jazz
India Vocal Institute in Bombay, lived in Chapel Hill,
NC, and worked a long stint with her jazz quartet on a
cruise ship.
Last summer, Alexis took 3rd prize in the Montreux Jazz
Festival/ Shure Vocal Competition.
Alexis grew up in Ft. Lauderdale FL, has a B.M. in Jazz
Voice from William Paterson University, and is currently
working towards a M.M. at Queens College. |
